Walk the path of the river itself. Give encouragement, sing a song. Call the one who knows, the grandmother, the
woman of a thousand worlds, to the woman beneath the earth. Acquire the memory of magic to digest and embody the possibility of transformation.

ALEJANDRA HUGUES IRAZÁBAL

 

Photographer, visual artist, and artisan. She fuses a constant spiritual and philosophical restlessness with a deep interest in developing manual and analog techniques, interweaving the physical and the spiritual. Her themes explore ancestry and the origin of the universe, where she dismantles and rearticulates imposed archetypes to narrate a personal and free mythology. She experiences her projects through mediumship, a place of alchemy and transformation.

 

Seeks to develop art pedagogies that enable new ways of existing. Trust in multiple voices and courage in differences.

 

Winner of the Young Creators Scholarship 2024-2025
