BASIC INTENSIVE WORKSHOP ON PAPER EMBROIDERY

In this workshop, we explore embroidery as a tool for expression and personal transformation. We will learn basic stitches and apply them to our own photographs, creating a unique piece that combines image, thread, and words. Throughout the process, writing exercises will guide us to look inward, to discover what we want to say and how we want to say it.

Aimed at photographers, visual artists and plastic artists

for those who want to expand their storytelling abilities. It's a workshop.

INTENSIVE INTERMEDIATE PAPER EMBROIDERY WORKSHOP

We will analyze the methodologies and processes of different artists to create a flexible and unique methodology that enables us to enter into an active dialogue with our manual work.

We will delve into intermediate stitches, and I will give you exercises to explore them in depth and create a tactile and affective glossary. We will use this personal dictionary as a map and territory for action, to give life and resonance to the words and ideas that shape our personal universes, using stitches as bridges and images as invocations, giving us new layers of narrative and meaning. Not only in what we create, but also in who we are.

We will exchange processes, stories, and universes to expand our inspiration, knowledge, and network.

VIRTUAL PHOTO EMBROIDERY LABORATORY

This online workshop on photo embroidery or paper embroidery is designed for an intermediate level, where classic and advanced stitches will be explored, as well as design concepts such as composition, color, and semiotics. Through exercises, the aim is not only to improve technique but also to deepen self-awareness and personal emotional understanding.

The virtual format fosters the exchange of creative processes and the creation of a unique community fabric. Mystical, spiritual, and esoteric knowledge, such as tarot, numerology, and sacred geometry, will be used to identify archetypes and moments of individuation, transforming artistic practice into a space for personal knowledge and transformation.

We explore design methodologies applied to photography projects to create strong visual narratives. We'll develop concept maps and briefs to help you organize your ideas effectively. We'll use tools such as the construction log and the appropriate choice of typography, grids, and color palettes to enrich your narrative.

Using the rock-paper-scissors technique, you'll identify the essence of your project and expand or adjust it as needed. We'll cover curation, sequencing, and editing exercises. We'll also delve into project writing and the creation of a physical and digital portfolio that reflects your visual language.
