MANIK CHÚL

Although they already had the logo, they asked me to develop the image and identity to present the Manik Chúl Mayan bracelets, which seek to share indigenous wisdom and knowledge told through sacred symbols that artisans have been using for years in their textiles.

The underlying concept was a linear abstraction illustrating the Mayan Weaver Goddess Ixchel, who also represents the moon, which gestates, creates, and nourishes.

And based on that abstraction formula, all the symbols embroidered on the wristbands were also digitized to create cards that are delivered to the customer with the specific information about the symbol they chose.

The packaging was a screen-printed, dyed cotton bag, and an informative poster inside narrating the origin of Ixchel and the meanings of several symbols. This poster can be used decoratively, always with recycling in mind.

Various informational brochures were also created that describe the brand's origins and objectives, as well as indigenous legends that explain its worldview so that customers can gain insight into Mayan culture.
